INSTALLATION OF PEARL-TEX LOOP JACKET
FOR
NOTE:
A slotted-point wrench (Heidelberg Part #930194H) or equivalent
type is required to complete this installation.
The installation method is the same as the Original Heidelberg Black Jacket
or Blue-Net Jacket. Please follow your press operating manual.
Under packing

Recommended under packing is 0.018” depending on your
printing stocks.

Adjust the under packing and consult the press operating manual for
the proper gap between the transfer cylinder and impression cylinder.
STEP 1:
Release the clamping screws with a socket wrench to open the gripper bar
on the leading edge.
STEP 2:
With the glass–bead side surface up, insert straight cut end of
Pearl-Tex Loop Jacket into gripper bar as far as it will go (approx. 7/8”, refer
to laminated film), and tighten clamping screws.
STEP 3:
Hold loop-end of jacket and carefully inch press forward to insure the under packing is installed. Continue inching the press forward until
the rear clamping screws appear.
STEP 4:
Existing tension rod (approx. 3/16” dia.) thread into notched
MAINTENACE:
To remove ink build-up on jacket surface, periodically (at least impression cylinder) clean it with
a common type of press-wash
solvent using a soft rag. We do not recommend the use of Toluene-Type solvent.
Do not use a scouring pad or a razor blade to clean the dried crud off
the jacket’s glass-bead surface.

LOOP TO LOOP TYPE (BEFORE 1995 MODEL)
NOTE:

Basic installation method is same as the Original Heidelberg Black Jacket
or Blue-Net Jacket. Please follow your press operating manual.
Under packing

Recommended under packing is 0.018” depend upon your
printing stocks.

Adjust the under packing and follow the press operating manual for
the proper gap between the transfer cylinder and impression cylinder.
STEP 1:
Loosen 2 screws (on the left and right hand side of transfer cylinder
segment) and rotate cylinder segments to remove existing anti-marking jacket by
unhooking tension rods (approx. 3/16” dia.) from cylinder.
STEP 2:
Existing tension rods thread into notched
STEP 3:
Hold the loop-end of the jacket and carefully inch the press forward
to insure the under packing is installed. Continue until rear clamping screws (gripper side)
appear.
STEP 4:
Existing tension rod thread into the other end of notched
STEP 5:
Rotate back the cylinder segment in
place, and tighten screws.
